We started out in Apr, 1996 as a "We First" Action Council supported by many leaders of our society in many areas. Our primary goal, since then, has been building an advanced welfare community of 21C where the disabled and non-disabled live together harmoniously, by considering the disabled first, who are definitely in difficult state of living, and eliminating social prejudice and discrimination against them.

So far we have tried to improve social perspective for the disabled through many activities: we have produced and distributed various PR materials, conducted a campaign for more supply of facilities for the disabled, awarded many organizations who responded excellent to "We-First" spirit, held National Composition Contest for Elementary Schoolers and other events including Sponsoring a Disabled Neighbor, 1 Day Outing, and Healthy Tooth Festival for Special Schoolers, published a quarterly magazine "We First", distributed "We First" stickers and run other campaigns. In the process, there has been warm response come from regular citizens and many organizations that has cooperated with us.
