Goal of Foundation

KFPD is a foundation for the disabled which was initially established as the first private foundation in the country with Fund for the Disabled supported by Disabled People's Welfare Card project, upon interest and enthusiasm of all the disabled and their organizations.

Main Work

Athletic Promotion - hold Korea National Paralympic Games every year, Para-Olympic Games; enter or host Far East and South Pacific Games for the Disabled, and various world-championships; support promotion for sport for all the disabled.

Cultural/Art Events - hold Korea National Art and Painting Competition for the Disabled and Literary Award every year since 1991; support cultural/art organizations; hold many events including a culture/art class.

Promotion of Welfare - every year hold a commemoration ceremony on Disabled People's Day (Apr 20); host Overcoming Disability of the Year Award; promote facilities for the disabled; provide service of counselling or education centers and homepage(www.cofad.or.kr)

Research for Welfare - means to promote athletic activities, to support cultural and artistic activities, to secure better rights of mobility, and to improve welfare policies for the disabled.
